I qualified as a beauty therapist 5 years ago and now run my own business on the Isle of Man. I am also a registered dental nurse which I work as full time, doing beauty as a sideline. Im so glad to see Mrs Steele, Miss Weir, Mr McKay and Mr McNaughten are still inspiring kids at the Grammar today! They were brilliant teachers, I loved them!

Currently a social worker in a childrens home in Larne. Happily married to David and living in Ballymoney. Very fond memories of school. Mr Christie was a fantastic teacher and I can still remember some of the stories he told in A-Level English Lit! Keep up the good work

If it helps Sammy Woodside, Colin Campbell and Mr Simms were still all there and all I can remember is portacabins and the old school building room 36x anyone!! I am now living near Navin in Ireland and working at Dublin Airport

I am the Director of Social Work at a residential agency serving people with intellectual disabilities in the Washington DC area. I have many fond memories of my days at LGS. It's nice to see some familiar names on the faculty list and would love to see some older photos.

Orr (nee McCallion) Caroline 1979 1986 Left school in '86 to do Nursing in R.V.H. Got married in '92 and now have a handsome hubby and 3 brilliant children! Loved LGS so much (!!!!!) that I am now an employee, aka 'the School Nurse'!

Turner Nick 1972 1973 I was in the prep before going to Portora. I then came back to the Grammar after O Levels and before migrating with family to Oz. I lived near the Eslers: Billy, John, Nicole and Hugh on Glenarm Rd. I played in IstXV. I think of friends like Rosemary Doherty who lived at Magheramorne and John Malcolm, Alan Guy, Ian Sanderson, Des Hueston with great affection. It would be good to hear from them or get in touch.

Baxter John 1962 1969 really enjoyed the 2009 reunion party well done to all who organised it and it was great to see all the old faces esp the teachers . look back on my grammar years as some of the happiest of my life. remember joe stewart as a hard but fair headmaster and the rest of the teachers as very good at teaching but also extremely good at find novel ways to punish other than the cane.having said that i deserved all but one of my punishments and as far as i see they did me no harm whatever.good luck to the school and may it go on for years to come

Stewart, Buckley, McKinley, Shields, Orr, Woodside and the best of the lot Mr.Knox, my inspiration. Living in England for the past 39 years, beautiful Italian wife and 3 great children; 27,23 and 16. Best of all, taking early retirement this July.

Went into plant breeding after my Ph.D. Now MD of a smallplant breeding company in UK. Job has alowed me many opportunities to travel and meet new people. It all started at Larne Grammar.

Hesketh Albert 1942 1946 Went to LGS on a King 5th Scholarship to be a Senior pupil teacher but left in 1946 to join the RAF served in numerous countries during the next 22 years , Ceylon , Germany, Cyprus Nato at Fontainbleau, and Hitaddu Gan in the Maldives then went to the Marconi Co at Chelmsford before retiring in 1988 , Hobbies electronics , Photography (I built my first enlarger  on a mountaintop transmitting station in Germany above the village of Obernkirchen the home of the Childrens choir that made the chart topper "The Happy Wanderer ", and gardening (mainly Dahlias) !!!
