GCSE English Literature students will study a range of drama, poetry and prose throughout the two year course, completing a two-part Controlled Assessment task and two Examinations by the end of Year 12.  It is our aim in the English Department to develop pupils’ understanding of literature through a much closer study of set texts, encouraging them to express opinions, become critical and, of course, enjoy reading!
